HYDERABAD: Nearly eight people were died in Andhra Pradesh due to heavy rainfall that hit the several parts of AP on Friday.
Telangana government has prompted IT companies to give permission to their employees to work from home on Friday.The rescue operation was also held by Army in several areas of AP.
Atleast nine to six deaths was held in Guntur district, three in Visakhapatnam. In rain related incident, around six people lost their life in Medak district of Telangana.
For the second consecutive day, train services between Guntur and Sikanderabad also remained suspended. A holiday was declared by the Telanagana government for educational institutions in Greater Hyderabad area on Friday and Saturday.
"They (Army) have been given maps and other information of areas like Gachibowli, Nizampet, Alwal and Hakimpet. They are willing to swing into action whenever we call them," an official said.
A bid was made by Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration KT Rama Rao who live in low-lying ranges to move to more secure spots. He said the legislature has kept two helicopters prepared as a feature of the salvage operations.
A few regions in the low-lying zones of Miyapur, Bachupalli and Nizampet keep on being immersed since the most recent two days. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation or GHMC has been supplying nourishment parcels to the general population in downpour influenced regions.
