Heavy rain and flood situation arise in Gujarat on Sunday due to which several villages intruded from major towns. Almost all the main roads as well as railway tracks are waterlogged in flood waters.
As per the reports, over 500 people were evacuated from the Saurashtra region on Saturday and were taken to the safe places.
“Around 50 villages have been impacted in Saurashtra and North Gujarat regions due to torrential rains,” a government official stated.
“Nearly 30 villages in the state are blocked as internal roads are waterlogged,” it asserted.
Several cattle were disposed off in flooding in Saurashtra.
North Gujarat and South Gujarat witnessed heavy rainfall on Saturday that disturbed the normal life in interior villages.
As per met department, Gujarat will face moderate to heavy rains in the coming days.
The officials have directed fishermen to not do fishing into sea. On the other hand, high alert has been issued in the region.
