Heavy Rain in Gurgaon, people faced Massive traffic Jam


Wind gusts, heavy rain whipped Gurgaon city on Thursday evening. It also led to massive traffic jams near the area of Huda City Metro Station.

Due to Massive rain, the roads of Sector 15 Part II were badly damaged. Rain also left the city under water.

“The road opposite my house was submerged. A few neighbours had uprooted the footpath for their convenience. Despite assurance to repair the road in a week’s time and without taking permission from the local municipal corporation, it has not been repaired yet and has now become worse due to rain,” said a resident of Sector 15 Part II.

In the entire city, the facility of drainage system has been blocked which leads to worst situation in the city. However, to manage the traffic, cops are trying their best to help but they could not.

“It normally takes only 10 minutes from my home to reach Huda City Metro Station. But today it took me two hours. Every time it rains, the entire city comes to a standstill,” said Agum, a local resident.

The old city area of Gurgaon was immersed. Moreover, Sheetla Mata road, Atul Kataria chowk and Old Delhi-Gurgaon road witnessed traffic jam whole day.

Gurgaon traffic police criticized the poor drainage system of the city as well as bad engineering of roads for the traffic jam.
