Have Sex 3 to 4 Times a Week To Get Rid Of Kidney Stones

A latest study says that having sex at least three to four times per week can help one spontaneously pass a kidney stone. The research was conducted by researchers from the Clinic of Ankara Training and Research Hospital in Ankara, Turkey.

According to the National Kidney Foundation, about one in 10 Americans will develop a kidney stone during his or her lifetime. In a year, more than half a million people enter emergency rooms for kidney stone problems.

The team of doctors, from the Urology Department of Ankara Training and Research Hospital, studied over 75 participants, who were randomly split into three groups. They gave instructions to the fist group to have sex three to four times per week, prescribed a medicinal drug, tamsulosin to the second group and give the third group the standard medical treatment for kidney stones.

A fortnight later the results showed that 26 out of 31 men in group one – who'd been told to have regular sex – were able to pass their kidney stones. The average size of stones that were passed was 4.7 millimeters.

On the other hand, only half of the participants from the the tamsulosin group and eight of the 23 men from the standard medical treatment group were able to successfully pass their stones. Their findings were published in the medical journal Urology.
