Haryana board makes Aadhaar card compulsory for board exams 2017


Haryana Board of School Education has taken decision to make Adhaar Card compulsory for upcoming board examinations that will be held in March next year.

This initiative has been taken by HBSE to provide benefit to board candidates. Also, it will be beneficial for the candidates to bring clearness in the education system.

Dr Jagbir Singh Ji said, this experiment will benefit many candidates.

It will be helpful for the candidates to avert the forgery of education certificates.

“Giving detailed information, the chairman said that though the provision of the card was already there but it was not made mandatory. Keeping its usefulness in mind, the board has taken this step,” statement added.

Earlier, Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) made Aadhaar card number obligatory for class tenth and twelth candidates. Also, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) made Aadhaar card compulsory for the candidates of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE).
