Hardik gets life threats over phone from Gujarat


Gujarat's Patidar leader Hardik Patel has lodged an FIR with Pratap Nagar police in Udaipur against one Gaurav Patel from Ahmedabad for allegedly threatening his life.

Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) leader Patel has been in exile in Udaipur since July 19. According to police, Hardik Patel (23), who is confined to a residential complex in Pratap Nagar locality , has given a written complaint after receiving threatening calls. "He has given us a complaint and provided a mobile number, alleging that he had received threatening calls from it. 

The caller had asked him to stay away from the Patidar re servation movement," said Anand Srivastav, inspector general of police, Udaipur range, to a news agency over phone.

He said the complaint has been converted into an FIR and a team from Udaipur police would visit Ahmedabad to investigate the matter if required.

Earlier, Hardik was granted bail by the Gujarat High Court on condition that he should spent six months outside the state.

He came to Udaipur on July 19. In mid-September, the Rajasthan High Court granted permission to Hardik to move around the city after intimating the police.The court during had directed Patel not to take 'undue advantage' of the liberty.9
