Indian actress, writer, and director, Konkana Sen Sharma was born on 3 December 1979. She is the daughter of veteran filmmaker–actress Aparna Sen. Konkana mainly appears primarily in Indian films, and her achievements in the genre have established her as one of the leading actresses of contemporary parallel cinema.
Surprisingly, the actress never wanted to be an actress as she hated to act as somebody else. For her initial movies she used to take a lot of stress and that made her cry on lot of occasions.
Today is the 38th birthday of Konkana Sen Sharma. It was only after the birth of her son that she got used to the concept of acting. Now she feels at ease while playing her character.
Konkana made her debut as a child artist in the Bengali film ‘Indira’ (1983). In 2000, she made her adult debut in the Bengali film ‘Ek Je Aache Kanya’ , in which she played a negative character. It was followed by a role in Rituparno Ghosh’s acclaimed film ‘Titli’ opposite Mithun Chakraborty and her mother Aparna Sen.
