Arjun Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Half Girlfriend’ that had cast its spell in the cinematic world in the first week of its release, showed signs of slowing down over the second weekend. The Mohit Suri-directed love story gathered roughly Rs 2 crore on Sunday, as per a report on Boxofficeindia.com. While its second weekend collection stands at roughly Rs 4.75 crore, the total collection of the film now reads Rs 50.75 crore.
‘Half Girlfriend’ is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel of a same name. The love story explores the complicated relationship between Bihari kid Madhav Jha (Arjun) and rich brat Riya Somani (Shraddha), as their ways cross in a prestigious college in Delhi. The film then traces how their relationship evolves over the years, against the backdrop of three distinct worlds of Delhi, Patna and New York.
The makers threw a success bash on Friday night to celebrate the film’s run in the cinema world. Other than the cast and crew of the film, Karan Johar, Rajkummar Rao and a few different celebs went to the bash.
