Gujarat: FIR Against Police Officer For ‘Torturing’ Daughter-in-Law

AHMEDABAD: The daughter in-law of a senior Gujarat cop recorded an complaint against him, his son and five other relatives on Friday for purportedly tormenting her for raising her voice against her better half's alleged fair.

As indicated by the FIR, the lady got married to the officer's son in December 2011 in Gandhinagar area. According to her grievance, she as of late found that her husband was having an affair . After being exposed, her better half left her and moved in with the other lady. She has charged that her husband declined to separation her and rather tormented her.

In her objection the woman has also alleged that her father-in-law – a Deputy Inspector General of Police rank officer – tried to intimidate her and took the side of his son against her. Along with his other family members he both "physically and mentally" tortured her for weeks.
The lady, who is a local of Vadali in Gujarat, at long last figured out how to escape and record a grumbling with the police.

"We have stopped a FIR against seven individuals, including the cop, his child and the lady's significant other, and five other relatives," sub-monitor RR Desai said.
