Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad today rejected as completely wrong the reports of a downturn in the Indian IT sector. The minister said a good number of individuals will get jobs in the current fiscal.
His announcement comes against the scenery of media reports that IT firms in India were amidst the business’ biggest conservation drive because of US President Donald Trump’s protectionist approaches.
Mr Prasad said in a public interview in Kochi that 6 lakh arrangements have occurred over the most recent three years of the Narendra Modi-drove government.
He claimed that retrenchment of 100-200 people had happened in the sector on performance ground. The minister said the Indian digital economy was going to become USD 1 trillion in the coming 5 to 7 years.
