Google doodle honours legendary singer Mukesh for his 93rd birthday


Google doodle is celebrating Bollywood iconic singer Mukesh’s 93rd birthday today.  In the memory of his birthday, google has put his image in place of logo on its homepage.

It shows a handsome smiling man with neatly combed wavy hair. Mukesh was a renowned singer of the Bollywood industry.  Most of the people will recognize him after watching his picture on Google.  

Mukesh came into Bollywood industry after his voice was discovered by Motilal, an actor and distant relative, at his sister's wedding.

He was born in 1923, Mukesh Chand Mathur’s first song was with Raj Kapoor's movie Andaz in 1949.

Amitabh-Rakhee starrer Movie ‘Kabhi Kabhi’ helped him to earn the Filmfare award for best male playback singer for "Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein" song.
