Google Doodle celebrates 93rd birthday of “King of playback singing” Mohammad Rafi


NEW DELHI: Google India has made special doodle on the 93 rd birth anniversary of popular singer Mohammed Rafi on Sunday.

Doodle that has been created today represents the life of popular singer Mohammad Rafi. It showed how he steps forward from the studio and entered into the Bollywood industry. The doodle is being made Mumbai-based illustrator Sajid Shaikh to pay tribute to Rafi.

On Twitter, Google India portrayed the renowned singer Mohammad Rafi who has sung and composed almost 5,000 songs.

Mohammad Rafi is popular as “king of playback singing” in Bollywood. He had composed romance, classical music, rock and roll music throughout his journey.

In 1967, Rafi secured Padma Shri award by the Indian government. For popular track ‘Kya Hua Tera Wada, he was honored with National Award in year 1977.
