Ghaziabad: Woman shot dead by husband for delay in serving dinner


Ghaziabad: Late on Saturday night in Ghaziabad, a 55-year-old woman was shot dead by her husband supposedly for delay in serving dinner at their house. On Sunday the indicted, 60-yr-old Ashok Kumar was detained.

On Saturday the occurrence took place about 11.45 pm in Mansarovar Park colony in Kavi Nagar police station area. The fatality, Sunaina, was hurried to the Sarvodaya Hospital in Kavi Nagar with a gunshot grievance on her head. Doctors at the hospital affirmed her bought dead. Hospital CMO Dr Neeraj Garg further conveyed that, the victim was dead as she was brought to the hospital.

As per the police, Kumar used to ply a mini-truck, which he possessed down with his 28-yr-old younger son Tinku. His elder son, Rinku (32), plies a private taxi. Late on Saturday night the police officials filed an FIR next to Kumar in Kavi Nagar police station on the basis of a complaint registered by his son Rinku.

Rinku’s wife, Soni and her two kids aged 7 and 4 years, were also there at the time of occurrence from Rinku and Tinku. Rinku conveyed that the kids were asleep in another room when the fight broke out. Rinku further added that, at about 9pm, their father come back home drunk and asked mother for dinner about 11pm.

An argument broke between two as mother denied serving food instantly. Exasperated over the delay, father took a gun and threatened her. I, my wife and Tinku tried to interfere. But he fired on her head. She collapsed at the spot. Local police outpost in-charge Ajay Verma further added that, the indicted was detained. He has confessed his crime. The police have originated a single spent cartridge from the house. The weapon used in the crime, a .315 bore revolver, had also been seized.
