Alwar: It appears that state government is not serious towards the security in the jails as again a gang war took place in Dholpur jail on Saturday in which under trial MLA B L Kushwah was injured along with other inmates.
Gang members of dacoits Jagan Gujjar and Mukesh Thakur engaged in a violent scuffle which triggered stone pelting in jail. During the confrontation B L Kushwah, an MLA of BSP from Dholpur was also injured and dacoit Dhara Singh also sustained injuries. Kushwah is in jail for a murder conspiracy.
According to the senior officers of the jail, dacoit Jagan Gujjar who is lodged in barrack no 5 and his rival who is lodged in barrack no 10 entered into a verbal spat over taking food during dinner time. "It all started at 9.30 pm on Saturday when Mukesh was going to his barrack with the dinner plate which was checked by Jagan Gujjar.
It triggered a violent scuffle between the two in which supporters of both the confronting inmates of the jail also had an altercation," said a senior officer. Thereafter, the jail authorities intimated the local police to control the situation. Thereafter, a team of senior police officers rushed to the spot and got all the barracks properly locked.
