The Public wi-fi hotspots service has been launched by the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday. The service will provide wireless Internet connectivity to users in Gurgaon.
The users can enjoy free wifi service on their devices at MG Road, Sadar Bazaar, Sector 29 market, and Sarhaul Village.
“Users will be able to enjoy a free daily quota limit of 30 minutes per day per device,” Airtel said.
Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon has given the permission to Airtel to mandate the Wi-Fi launch from last year.
“The free Wi-Fi service is open to all users with compatible devices. When in proximity to the Wi-Fi, the user has to just enable Wi-Fi in device settings and search for 'MSG powered by Airtel,” Airtel said.
“Anyone can use Wi Fi service for atleast 30 minutes. However they will be charged a nominal amount,” Airtel said.
Airtel said, "While Airtel users will be charged on their data plan/packs, non-Airtel users will be able to buy online vouchers with affordable deals. Airtel customers can connect to the Wi-Fi using the Airtel Hangout app also."
