Former Pakistan Bowler Wasim Akram appeals for ‘mediation’ between Afridi and Miandad

Karachi: Bowler Wasim Akram feels that Meditation must be needed between former Pakistan skippers Shahid Afridi and Javed Miandad as people have insisted for a farewell match.

Tennis Player Rafael Nadal considers slashing schedule

On twitter handle, Wasim Akram wrote, "Javed Bhai & Shahid mean a lot to me & to Pakistan. It's really sad to see what's happening between them. InshAllah it will be over soon."

"The stones being thrown between 2 very respected cricketers calls for quick resolve by appropriate mediation instead of this unwanted chaos," he added.

A argument has been going on between Afridi and Miandad after both of them put the charges of being money minded.

Legal action must be taken against Miandad, Afridi said.

A leading English newspaper reported, Afridi would be sending a legal notice to Miandad on Thursday.

During the book launch ceremony on Sunday, Afridi alleged, “Money has always been an issue for Miandad, which separated him from World Cup winning captain Imran Khan.”

"I challenge Afridi to swear upon his daughter and say that he didn't sell Pakistan's matches," said Miandad.

"Afridi and his lawyer are watching clips of Miandad and his allegation thoroughly, and will be sending the required legal notice on October 13 as the offices remain close on 9th and 10th of Muharram," the source said.

Earlier, Afridi demanded for a exciting send-off during the three-match T20 series against the West Indies.

"Farewell match is my right", Afridi said.
