Former MP Chief Minister Digvijay Singh’s name in BPL list, taken aback after seeing his name


Indian Politician and Member of Parliament Digvijay Singh alleged that their family members including him were listed in the record of Below Poverty Line (BPL) people by the Central and State (MP) governments. 

"GOMP (Government of Madhya Pradesh) and GOI (Government of India) includes my name, my brother's name, my son's name in BPL! We all are income tax payees," Singh said on twitter.

The 69-year-old politician, Digvijay Singh said," We have neither applied nor taken any benefit under BPL. This is conspiracy against me and my family." 

"Those responsible should apologise and should be punished," Singh added.

The meeting of local party unit will be conducted by Veteran Congressman to look into the matter.  The crucial issue of alliance will be discussed in the meeting with like minded parties during the upcoming State Legislative assembly elections.
