Former Indian Ambassador to US died


On Sunday Previous Indian Ambassador to the US Naresh Chandra died at the age of 82 years old in Goa.

Due to failure of numerous organ he passed away at around 10 pm, in Goa’s Manipal Hospital, a hospital official said.

His office affirmed that Chandra was admitted to the hospital on Friday.

Chandra had filled in as the Cabinet Secretary from 1990-92 and was the Indian Ambassador to the US from 1996 to 2001.

He was granted India’s second mos highest civil awards, the Padma Vibhushan, in 2007.
