Nepal: Security officials conveyed that, over 36 people dies and 12 other missing in floods and landslides causing by heany rainfall in several districts crossways Nepal.
As per Ministry of Home Affairs, seven killed in Sunsari district, four in Sindhuli, four each in Jhapa and Sindhuli districts, three each from Banke, Morang and Panchthar districts and remeining from different districts.
Numerous families been displaced in the floods and landslides crossways the nation. Nepal Cabinet conducted an emergency gathering throughout which Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba commanded the local district managements to strengthen the rescue operations.
Nepalese Home Minister Janardan Sharma also further added that all the safety forces carrying out the rescue operations to evacuate the people from the areas.
Jhapa, Morang Sunsari, Sapttari, Siraha, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Banke, Bardiya and Dang districts were the most affected by floods and landslides.
Numerous houses have been submerged in Morang. Biratnagar airport has been closed following flood water surged into the airport area.
