Five youth, trying to join the Army, were captured today, on charges of submitting fake certificates, while applying for the employment, police said today.
All the five from Thiruvannamalai locale, were shortlisted for the employment three months back in Madras Regiment Center (MRC) in adjacent Wellington, they said.
Notwithstanding, amid confirmation, it was discovered that the young had submitted fake certificates, they said.
According to complaint, the police researched the matter and brought them from Thiruvannamalai and produced them under Coonoor court, which remanded them to judicial custody.
They will be sent to central jail in Coimbatore, police included.
