No less than five people on board an Indonesian plane that smashed in Papua territory were affirmed dead on Thursday, the country`s search and rescue office said.
Many rescuers from the nearby search and save office had landed at the scene and started a departure procedure on Wednesday, one of the leading news agency cited the representative for the workplace, Marsudi, as saying.
“We have evacuated (taken) four of the dead to Wamena town, yet another remaining parts at the scene,” Marsudi said.
The five individuals on board the plane, worked by Associated Mission Aviation (AMA), a private firm working flights in and around Papua territory, incorporated a pilot, a co-pilot and three travelers.
The plane was flying from Wamena to Derakma.
