New Delhi : Night vision technology now comes with style. A Danish smartphone maker, has launched its T3 handset and it has a night-vision camera that takes both photos and videos. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow based device is the world's first smartphone to have a night vision camera . The Lumigon T3 is primarily intended to be used in rugged environments. It's priced at $740 (Rs 49,500 approximately) and currently available only in the US. The firm has not yet revealed the price and availability details in other countries.
The T3 has been designed in Denmark and made using marine-grade 316 stainless steel and Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It also features a gesture-based 'BackTouch' display which makes it easy to scroll through images and websites and can also be used to take selfies. It is dust and water resistant as well. The smartphone's key feature is a 4MP night vision camera with dual infrared flash that lets users shoot at night. As for the specifications, the dual-sim Lumigon T3 sports a 4.8-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixels resolution with double tap to wake functionality. The Lumigon T3 also has a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash.
Under the hood, the phone packs an unspecified octa-core SoC clubbed with 3GB of RAM, other features like phase detection auto focus, 120fps slow motion video and 4K recording. The 4G LTE capable Lumigon T3 also has Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, NFC, IR Blaster and Micro-USB connectivity. In addition, there's a 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash as well as 128GB of inbuilt storage. The android handset comes with a physical button at the front that also doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. It is available in Black, White and Orange colours, as well as in a 24-Karat Gold edition.
