A Chinese multinational technology company Lenovo has come up with new smartphone with a name Lenovo Vibe K5. The smartphone will deliver its first flash sale at 2pm today i.e. Wednesday via Amazon India.
Lenovo Vibe K5 is priced at Rs. 6,999, the smartphone will be available with a launch day offer in a limited edition Golden VR Bundle (a Gold colour variant of the Vibe K5 and a ANT VR headset) at Rs. 6,699.
Other colour variants of the Lenovo Vibe K5 are Silver and Grey. Registrations for the first flash sale began on June 13. Lenovo announced on Monday that it had received over 400,000 registrations for the sale.
The Vibe K5 is a dual-SIM (Micro-SIM cards) smartphone that was first unveiled back at MWC 2016 alongside the Vibe K5 Plus. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus however made it to India in March at Rs. 8,499.
The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Vibe K5 sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 SoC that's coupled with 2GB of RAM. It bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with flash, and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
The phone bears 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). The Lenovo Vibe K5 runs on a 2750mAh removable battery, measures 142x71x8.2mm, and weighs 150 grams.
Connectivity options on the Lenovo Vibe K5 include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G (with support for Indian LTE networks). Sensors on the phone include proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope.
