Spanish-made Talgo prepare today set out on its last trial at 150 kmph amongst Delhi and Mumbai. To decrease the travel time amongst Delhi and Mumbai to under 12 hours, the last trial keep running of Delhi-Mumbai Talgo train at 150 km for each hour velocity was today started from Delhi.
Spanish Talgo train began at 2.45 PM from New Delhi station and is planned to reach at Mumbai at 2.29 AM early morning following day, said a senior Railway Ministry official.
Talgo train with nine mentors expects to achieve the goal in 11 hours and 44 minutes at 150 km for each hour speed in its last trial. In the mean time, the Talgo train achieved Mumbai today 18 minutes late in its third trial.Travelling 1,384 km stretch between New Delhi and Mumbai, the train at 140 km for each hour speed achieved 3.15 AM rather than booked landing in 2.57 AM.
