Sources reported that on Wednesday Facebook Inc accounted a 5.4% rise in its shares as it topped $2 billion around Rs 13,407 crore in quarterly profit. The corporation focus on mobile apps, from which it generates the highest revenue through ads, has reaped dividends. More than 90% of customers of the social networking website are on mobile devices. Over the precedent one year, the website has 220 million monthly active customers.
The corporation posted 80% increase in revenue from mobile ads in the second quarter of the financial. The overall expansion rate stood at 59%. Facebook Chief Financial Officer Dave Wehner conveyed that, the mobile app carry on to be the corporation power. According to the US Corporation, the net income in the second quarter of the financial year was $2.06 billion, or 71 cents a share. A year before, the corporation had posted a net income of $719 million.
