New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu today.
“Strengthening bridges with Ankara. EAM @SushmaSwaraj receives FM of Turkey, @MevlutCavusoglu in Delhi,” External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
For the first time, Cavusoglu has come to India officialy. Last year, he visited India on a transit halt when he met Sushma Swaraj.
The bilateral relations of India-Turkey have been strengthened through regular high-level exchanges. Last year, the bilateral trade had touched $6.3 billion.
On Saturday,Cavusoglu will visit Hyderabad where he will officially open the Turkish consulate building.
