Ex Army officer completes India’s highest BASE jump from 56th floor

One of India’s best BASE jumpers Lt Col (retd) Satyendra Verma set another record as he completed India’s highest BASE jump from the 56th floor of a building in Delhi NCR’s Noida. The previous army officer successfully performed the jump from the height of 600 feet as he jumped from what has been deemed North India’s tallest building. The event occurred on Saturday.

Satyendra Verma, a pioneer of BASE (building, antennae, span/bridge, earth) jumping in India has more than 54 jumps to his credit. He has likewise finished 2,400 sky dives, 350 wingsuit jumps including a BASE jump from the 450-foot-tall Doordarshan TV Tower in New Delhi. He likewise teaches skydiving and BASE jumping.

In 2015, he got the National Adventure Award (equivalent to Arjuna Award) from president Pranab Mukherjee.
