Eleven coaches of Mumbai-Lucknow Lokmanya Tilak Express train derail at Unnao, no casualty reported

UNNAO: Eleven coaches of Mumbai-Lucknow Lokmanya Tilak Express derailed in Unnao on Sunday afternoon.

No losses were reported in the tragedy.

The investigation is in process by National Disaster Response Force and UP anti-terror squad. The speculations revealed that the the train derailment took place due to some damage.

“It appears to be a technical fault because of which the train skidded off the tracks,” a railway official stated.

In the past seven months, the incident took place fourth time. On Sunday, ten coaches and the pantry car of the AC train derailed while going through platform number three of Unnao railway station.

The passengers stated the train slewed along the platform.

The travellers were given food, water and snacks. Nearly 150 passengers were shifted in three buses.

Due to tragedy, several trains involving Lucknow-New Delhi Shatabdi, Gorakhpur-Panvel and Lucknow -Agra intercity were permitted to pass through the other track.

The investigation is in process by a team of senior railway and police officials
