EICMA saw to a ton of cruisers being uncovered. A standout amongst the most fascinating grandstands was the Husqvarna twins. The organization had shown the Vitpilen 701 and the Svartpilen 701. Both these cruisers get a similar single-chamber motor which makes 73 bhp and 72 Nm of pinnacle torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The Vitpilen (Swedish for white bolt) is a bistro racer while the Svartpilen (Swedish for dark bolt) will be a Scrambler. We say ‘will be’ on account of the Svartpilen is as yet an idea display, while the Vitpilen will soon hit the streets. We do trust that the ‘Pilen’ twins will advance toward India soon.
The Svartpilen 701 gets a couple of various highlights from the Vitpilen, for example, an alternate handlebar, a more upright instrument support and double reason tires rather than consistent road tires. The two bicycles get a chromium-molybdenum steel trellis outline, WP suspension and Brembo brakes and switchable ABS also.
The two bicycles convey the same marginally retro-ish, no frills, stripped out look and that is something that we truly like, from a plan point of view. The Vitpilen 701 will hit the showrooms, in Europe from February 2018 onwards while the Svartpilen, well, there is no affirmed course of events on its dispatch. It will likewise have ride-by-wire and a water driven shoe grasp for better, smoother gearshifts.
KTM will dispatch the Husqvarna mark in India at some point in 2018 and when they do, they will begin with the lower-spec Vitpilen 401, Svartpilen 401 (which gets an indistinguishable motor from the KTM 390 Duke) and afterward line it up with the greater spec 701 ‘Pilen’ Twins.
