NEW DELHI: An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 hit Andaman and Nicobar Island on Tuesday. It was noted that 5.9 on the Richter scale.
As per National Centre for Seismology, The earthquake strikes at the depth of 10 kms in the Nicobar island at 8:21 am on Tuesday.
The reports revealed that the earthquake was not so strong but it created tsunami warning. The epicenter of earthquake was India that that caution states and neighbouring countries about tsunami.
No casualty has been reported yet.
At 5.48 am, another earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter scale striked Kathua region of Jammu and Kashmir.
