Eamcet paper leak: CID arrested two accused


HYDERABAD: On Friday CID officials, who are examining the TS Eamcet-II question paper leak case detained two more persons in association with the case. The detained persons are Mayank Sharma, 30, and Garimella Veerender Rao, 40. At Mumbai CID IG Soumya Mishra conveyed Mayank through his contacts secured eight students and they were given practice with the two sets of leaked question papers in the camp conducted by him along with others.

Veerender Rao has protected two candidates and sent them to Bengaluru camp through additional broker. The two students were given practice with the two sets of leaked question papers in the camp conducted at Bengaluru,’’ she conveyed adding that attempts are going on to catch the other brokers. On Friday following the arrest of two persons, the arrests in the case have gone up to 13.

The CID representatives have registered a case on July 25 subsequent to they established in their preliminary investigation that there was a prima facie case for registering an FIR in association with the Eamcet-II medical question paper leak.

During the examination, it was exposed that the students appearing for TS Eamcet-II from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were taken to camps set up in at least five cities three days prior to exam and were given practice with the leaked copies of two question papers consisting of 320 questions with correct answers.
