Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled unveiled in India at Rs 9.32 Lakh

Ducati India introduced the new Scrambler Desert Sled in the nation priced at Rs9.32 lakh (ex-showroom price) and will be accessible in two color options. For the Red Musk shade the bike will be priced at Rs 9.32 lakh whereas the White Mirage shade will be priced at Rs 9.45 lakh.

Ducati India has declares the BS-IV versions of the Scrambler Icon and Classic variant at Rs 7.23 lakh and Rs 8.48 lakh (ex-showroom, price) correspondingly. The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled attains modified frame suspension with high mounted mudguards.

The headlamp attains a mesh guard and there is an engine skid plate to lend better off-road ability to the Desert Sled. The gold wheels make a nice contrast on the bike in dual-purpose 19-inch front and 17-inch rear Pirelli Scorpion Rally Str tyres.

The position of seat is superior whereas a 20 mm low seat option can be purchased discretely. There are off-road style foot pegs with removable rubber pads. The bike draws power from the Euro 4 compliant 803 cc engine tuned air and oil cooled engine that is tuned to make 72 bhp at 8250 rpm and peak torque of 67 Nm at 5750 rpm.

Ducati conveys that the bike has been updated to meet the new homologation norms that have made way for smoother power delivery, particularly at the bottom end of the rev range. Moreover the suspension setup on the bike attains 200 mm extended travel on the front and rear suspension. Braking performance reaches from the Brembo sourced 330 mm single disc at the front with 4-piston monobloc calipers, whereas the rear sports a 245 mm single disc with a 32 mm diameter piston caliper and also has the Bosch 9.1 MP ABS system keeping power in control.

Ducati India – Managing Director, Sergi Canovas Garriga has also conveyed that, we have introduced it for the first time in India, a motorcycle in the ‘easy off-road’ category. Remaining true to the Scrambler family and inspiration from the ’60s and ’70s, California motorcycle scene, the Desert Sled strengthens the pure core of motorcycling: two wheels, wide handlebars, a straightforward engine and endless fun.

The new Ducati Scrambler sale will start from subsequently week, whereas bookings are open. The bike manufacturer recently has outlets at Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad and Kochi that will be catering to the service.
