Number of livestock is expected to increase by 20 per cent in emirate
With September 12 making the first day of Eid Al Adha, as reported by Saudi Press Agency, countries around the world are preparing for the annual sacrifice.
In the UAE, Dubai Municipality has stated it has completed the preparations for Eid Al Adha by placing programmes and plans to absorb the expected congestion to receive the livestock at Dubai's Abattoirs.
The abbatoirs are equipped to work at its full capacity where the number of livestock is expected to increase by 20 per cent in Dubai's, compared to last year.
Additionally, nine service centers will be equipped and ready to welcome the public in Eid Al Adha to accomplish 550 slaughtering processes per hour, Dubai Municipality has further stated.
The authority has also opened a new showroom at Al Qusais Abattoir for slaughtering with a capacity for 300 animals per hour and that it will work around the clock.
Additionally, the morning period will be allocated to the public audience, while the evening period will be for charities.
