Hyderabad: Indian film director and screenwriter S.S. Rajamouli on Friday has been nominate for the Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) National Award-2017.
The award will be given in the presence of Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao by Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu at Shilpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad on September 17.
The award will be stated by Akkineni Nagarjuna, son of late ANR. Award committee chairman Dr T. Subbarami Reddy.
Students qualifying of the Annapurna International School of Film & Media would be given their degrees on day of award function. Nagarjuna further conveys that Baahubali fame director Rajamouli made Telugu film industry conceited and that his film ‘Baahubali’ was the path breaking film. We are proud and honored to select Rajamouli for this award.
The award was initially programmed on September 20, on late ANR’s birth anniversary, but was later scheduled to be on September 17 as the Vice-President would be in the city.
