‘Desi Girl’ Priyanka Chopra gets Mother Teresa Memorial award for social justice


Bollywood’s Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra was given ‘Mother Teresa Memorial award for social justice’ this year for her great contribution in social work. The diva recently went to Syria to talk with refugee children and to solve their problems. Since long time, she has been recognized for assisting several compassionate actions.

Priyanka Chopra couldn’t able to take the award due to busy schedule. In her absence, Priyanka mother received such great honour. She stated, “I modestly admit the award on her behalf. As a mother, I am greatly proud to have a child who is so empathetic and has so much sympathy in her. She epitomized the truth the more you give the more you get. Even as a child, she was inclined by Mother Teresa and has been helping Prem Niwas in Bareilly.”

Madhu Chopra stated, “It is correct for her to get this praiseworthy award and I am very proud of her. I’m pleased.”
