Delhi: Speeding tempo rammed into DTC bus, 2 killed


New Delhi: A hard-hitting collision occurred when a speeding tempo crushed into a DTC bus that was parked on roadside in North West Delhi’s Rani Baghin on Friday. In the mishap two people killed and six other wounded.

At about 12.30 am the mishap took place at underpass close to the Madhuban Chowk in Rohini. The parked green DTC bus had a breakdown and was repairing when the incident occurred. Mechanic was called to repair vehicle. Few drivers, helpers and others were helping the mechanic. When they were at their work, a speeding tempo rammed the bus and the people standing outside.

Milind Dumbere, DCP (north-west) also further stated that the two men for whom the occurrence proved fatal were a DTC driver and his helper, whereas the other six wounded comprise a conductor and a mechanic.

The dead recognized as Sunil (driver) and Pramod Kumar (helper). All injured admitted to Safdarjung Hospital and are undergoing treatment. The DCP conveyed that the tempo driver has been detained and his vehicle seized.
