Delhi Minister Satyendra Jain interrogated by Income Tax Officials


NEW DELHI:  Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain was asked by the Income Tax Department to appear before them as the charges of tax evasion were put against him.

A notice was given to Mr Jain by Income tax department as he was found indulged in the case of tax evasion and illegal remittances with Kolkata based firm. The department even told him to showcase the records of his personal finances of last four years.

"This is a case of harassment and he is being punished for his honesty. He had invested in a few firms when he worked as an architect. He has already made all disclosures. How does this become an issue of corruption?" Sanjay Singh, another Aam Aadmi Party leader said.
Ashutosh accompanied Mr Jain while he was asked for the questioning today.

"He has been called as a witness, and he has come to present his vision," Mr Singh asserted

Prior Income Tax authorities had guaranteed to have recuperated records of a few money related exchanges between Mr Jain and the Kolkata firm which is being examined for duty avoidance. Authorities additionally asserted to have recuperated records identifying with exchanges made by three firms with connections to Mr Jain which should have been investigated.
