Delhi High Court to provide security to AIADMK MP Sasikala Pushpa


MP of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party, Sasikala Pushpa, currently has police security on the orders of the Delhi High Court, subsequent to she supposed that her life was in danger. Reports has also conveyed that, she had required "complete protection" with "immediate effect" for equally herself and her family, alleging that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and other MPs were intimidating her to resign from the party.

In a grievance filed at Delhi's North Avenue police station, she has conveyed that, I don't want to resign from my constitutional post. If I don't resign, then I may face a threat to my life. Thus, I place this criminal complaint…Else, I cannot even survive for a minute…I may be attacked and harassed by party people," she has conveyed in her complaint to the district commissioner of police. On Monday August 1, the former Tuticorin mayor was barred from the AIADMK, for supposedly physically assaulting Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam MP Trichy Siva at Delhi airport on Saturday, July 31.

 AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa conveyed Pushpa had brought disrepute to the party and asked for her to be released. The high court also directed police to ensure that she has an escort whenever she goes to Parliament. It scheduled the subsequently hearing for November 15. Moreover, an AIADMK member, Rajesh, has claimed that Pushpa duped him of Rs 20 lakh. He has also further conveyed that, she had taken the money from him to get a contact for a highway project.
