While Kejriwal was boarding a Shatabdi train to Punjab many women activists shouted slogans and started protesting against AAP Minister Sandeep Kumar.

The pictures of Kejriwal have gone viral on social media while Kejriwal has implemented the security arrangements around him.

But Delhi police has asserted that, “It will not be able to provide security to the Chief Minister during his Punjab tour”

“We have not refused him security. He is leaving Delhi for Punjab for five days. As per the security norms, if he travels by train or car, we are supposed to drop him at the first destination in that state and thereafter, the state police takes over,” Delhi Police official said.

“He was given security during previous trips as we had no time to write to the state police concerned and also because they were short visits. This is a long visit and we cannot keep any component with him for that long,” the officer said.

“Chief Minister’s Office had written to the Delhi Police, requesting security for his Punjab visit.” PTI reported.

During Punjab Elections Kejriwal will look after the selection of candidates amid allegations of corruption in AAP’s distribution of election ticket that led to the party sacking its Punjab chief Sucha Singh Chhotepur.
