NEW DELHI: Body of a 11-year-old young GIRL , who was missing since Tuesday, was discovered stuffed in a sack in upper east Delhi’s New Usmanpur zone on Wednesday.
The young girl an inhabitant of Gautampuri in the territory, had gone to purchase some household items on Tuesday evening yet did not return and on Wednesday her body was discovered, meters far from her home, police said.
Her body was found at around 7 AM by a rag picker who saw the sack lying in one of the paths of Gautampuri range and opened it supposing it must contain refuse.
He raised an alert when he saw the young girls body and police was informed , a senior police official said.The dead was an student of class V in a MCD school in the range and had returned home at an early stage Tuesday since she was not feeling admirably.
Around twelve, her mom had sent her to purchase adhesive however the girl did not return for quite a while, taking after which the mother then informed her husband , an autorickshaw driver, and her relatives.They drew nearer the police and a case was registered . The girls family claimed that she was sexually ambushed before being executed, as there were damage blemishes on the body.
“A case of murder has been registered and we are awaiting post-mortem report to find out whether she was sexually assaulted,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) Ajit Kumar Singla said.
Police is suspecting the involvement of someone known to the victim’s family since there was no ransom call or threat call received by the family.
“The girl’s family has expressed suspicion on a relative who had enmity with their over some property and could have plotted the kidnapping. The person will be called for questioning,” said a senior police officer.
