Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar reached to Dhaka for his two day visit to Bangladesh on Wednesday. During his visit, he will meet top civil and military leaders to boost defence ties between the two countries.
Parrikar was welcomed by Bangladesh Defence Forces’ Principal Staff Officer Lt Gen Md Mahfuzur Rahman and other government officials.
The reports revealed that Defence Minister, Parrikar will also met with President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Manohar Parrikar will also meet with prime minister’s defence and security advisor Maj Gen Tarique Ahmed Siddique (retd).
Parrikar, who is joined by the Vice Chiefs of the Army and Air Force, Deputy Chief of Navy other than Coast Guard boss, is planned to visit the military institute in Chittagong on Thursday.
The Indian military authorities will likewise meet with the leaders of Bangladesh's Army, Navy and Air Forces to talk about approaches to enhance military collaboration.
