Jammu: The terrorist attack that was held on July 10 during Amarnath Yatra takes the live of another woman pilgrim today in a hospital. The death toll of devotees has reached to eight on Sunday. She sustained several injuries during the militant attack.
A woman has been identified as Lalita, 47. Just after the attack, she was taken to the SKIMS Hospital in Srinagar to undergo treatment.
In the deadly attack, at least seven people involving six women died and 19 people got wounded when militants attacked a bus carrying Amarnath devotees near Khanabal in Anantnag district on July 10. As per the reports, nearly five killed belongs from Gujarat and two others from Maharashtra.
After the attack, PM Narendra Modi wrote,”India will never get bogged down by such cowardly attacks and the evil designs of hate”.
Since 2000, the terror attack is being illustrated as the worst on the annual Amarnath Yatra.
The attack was held at around 8.20 pm near Khanabal Anantnag district where militants first targeted two police posts ahead fleeing and then started gunfire at the bus GJ 09 Z 9976 that was full of Amarnath pilgrims who had completed the Yatra two days back.
