Shahrukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer “Dear Zindagi” the most awaited film of November by the audience has created a lot of buzz due to the unique and an innovative approached tried by the makers of the film to promote the movie. The four different trailer addressing different issues and giving a sneak peek into the story of Alia makes it all the more interesting.
Gauri Shinde director of the movie who has previously won our hearts with her film English Vinglish, a comedy drama which deals with the disrespect faced by the housewives today in male dominated Indian society has decided to release 4 short teasers from the film, “Dear Zindagi’ instead of releasing a trailer. The filmmakers today released the last and final teaser from the movie after a long wait.
The 1-minute teaser begins with Alia’s complicated state of mind and Shah Rukh’s monologue, where he explains that right from childhood, human beings are taught to curb their emotions – neither are they allowed to hate freely, nor love with abandon. He says that as kids we aren’t allowed to cry as kids or not get angry and ‘nafrat karne ki toh ijjazat hi nai di’. And since childhood, we are told to bottle up our emotions. And when we fall in love, it becomes all the more difficult to express.
Later in the teaser, Shah Rukh who plays a life coach to Kaira (Alia’s character in the film) quotes Albert Einstein to explain to her that if one wants different results every day, one needs to do different things every day. It’s interesting how SRK and Alia share precious gems about life in a carefree, candid banter. It must be said that SRK shares some very important lessons on love and life without sounding too preachy.
‘Dear Zindagi’ also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Kapoor, Ali Zafar and Angad Bedi. Directed by Gauri Shinde of English Vinglish fame, and produced under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions and Hope Productions, the film is all set to release on November 25, 2016.
