Nearly 29 people lost their lives and three others wounded in a storm that hit eastern Madagascar since weekend.
On Friday and Saturday, Tropical Storm Ava surpassed through Madagascar and hit the eastern coast of island with wind speeds amid 140-190 kph.
At Least eight people from a family lost their lives in the cyclone which hit administrative region of Haute Matsiatra. Due to the massive cyclone, residence of a family was destroyed by landslide.
On Monday, National Office of Risk and Disaster Management stated that over 13,000 people were dislocated by the cyclone.
Prior, Typhoon Enawo hit Madagascar in the month of March last year which takes lives of nearly 78 people.
Enawo destroyed around 30 percent of the crop and Ava had not reached to vanilla-producing areas till now.
