SRINAGAR: A curfew has been imposed across Kashmir on the 99th day. Normal life of the people has been badly affected due to the violence that is going on in the valley.
A police official claimed that there is no curfew anywhere in Kashmir and the situation is getting better day by day.
The restrictions have been enforced under section 144 CrPc throughout the valley. To maintain the law and order in the valley, security forces have been established in sensitive areas.
The outgoing call facility on prepaid mobiles were restored by the authorities last night after three months.
The death toll has reached to 84 including two cops, and many others injured in clashes that took place between protestors and security forces. On the 100th day, the shops, business establishments, petrol pumps and educational institutions remained closed, while public transport continued to be off the roads.
The private transport and auto-rickshaws in the civil lines areas of the city were increased.
