Jammu: At Least four Indian armed forces lost their lives and four other persons were wounded in Pakistani sacking held along the Line of Control (LoC) at 3.30 pm in Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
“Indian Army hit back powerfully and serious damage has been imposed on Pakistani Army posts,” defence statement reported.
As per the reports, one officer and three armed forces died in the cross- border shelling on Sunday.
The deceased armed forces have been found as Captain Kapil Kundu, resident of Haryana’s Gurugram.
Others deceased were Riflemen Ramavatar, resident of MP’s Gwalior while 23-yr old Subham Singh belong from Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua and 43-yr old Havilder Roshan Lal belong from Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Martyrdom of Indian Army militia will not go in futile. The gratuitous step by Pakistani Army will be given a befitting reaction,” the statement reported.
A teenage girl and a warrior were wounded in Pakistan ceasefire infringement in Shahpur area of the LoC in Poonch district on Sunday.
As per army officials, the shelling began at around 11 am with Pakistani armed forces making use of small weapons and gun. Indian army hit back powerfully, they added.
