CP Joshi appointed as Rajasthan Cricket Association President

Congress leader CP Joshi triumph the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) polls. The reports revealed that Joshi and former IPL chairman Lalit Modi’s son Ruchir Modi were the probable winners of the elections.

As per the reports, CP Joshi secured 19 votes while Ruchir achieved 14 votes. Rajendra Nandu and Pinkesh Jain have secured the post of Secretary and Treasurer respectively. The polls were held on 26 April.

The Lalit Modi party had cancelled the RCA elections scheduled for 26th April, stating legal twists, at a phase when two days of proposals had already cleared the Rajasthan High Court orders that RCA polls would be held on May 29.

Vimal Soni, a senior member of RCA stated that Ruchir won’t be provided any extraordinary action. Soni asserted, “Ruchir, because he is Lalit Modi’s son, is not the president of RCA. Has to go through the process.”
