YAMUNANAGAR: A man upset over alleged police inaction in the murder case of his daughter allegedly attempted to kill himself outside the mini secretariat at Yamunanagar on Tuesday. He was noticed by some passersby who stopped him from taking the extreme step.

The man was recognized as Raj Kumar an occupant of Sabalpur town in Yamunanagar. His girl was purportedly slaughtered for dowry a year back.

He had got a FIR held up against four individuals from his girl’s in-laws’ family, including her better half. Raj had asserted that his little girl’s in-laws had hardheartedly whipped her several times. “Police are favoring the charged. Just the spouse of my little girl was captured. Police are delicate to other blamed incorporating her relative and dad in-law,” he claimed.

Yamunanagar superintendent  of police (SP) Maneesh Chaudhry couldn’t be reached.
