Congress President Sonia Gandhi admitted to Hospital


New Delhi: Sonia Gandhi the Congress president was on Tuesday admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in the national capital Delhi over the issue of viral fever.

Prior this year in August, the 69-year-old Congress leader was admitted to the same hospital after being taken ill during a roadshow in Varanasi.

The doctors treating her at the hospital then discharged her on August 14 saying that she had recovered completely from her illness and injury to the left shoulder and was stable.

Prateek Gupta, senior consultant and his team from Department of Orthopaedics and Sanjay Desai from Mumbai carried the operation upon for shoulder injury.

The Congress leader was moved to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital from the Army Research and Referral Hospital, where she was hurried not long after her arrival from Varanasi around midnight of August 2.
