Christmas Goat Burns on 50th Anniversary

Sweden’s Christmas Goat — a monster enlivening goat made of straw and wood — didn’t keep going long on its 50th commemoration.

The straw goat, a yearly Yuletide convention in the city of Gavle since 1966, went up on fire hours after it was initiated on Sunday.

Pyromaniacs just can’t avoid the monster adornment, which from time to time survives the season without somebody attempting to torch it.

The local daily was quoted as saying that it was determined to flame late Sunday.

A webcam keep running by the neighborhood traveler office demonstrated the casing of the goat was all the while standing yet all the straw was no more.

There was no prompt word on conceivable suspects.
